I have been so inspired as of late, it is as if the Lord is orchestrating my life even more, and I feel a new season approaching. He seems to bring me through periods of isolation, then leading new friends into my life and blessing the heck outta me. While I am thankful for the constant friends I have, I am thankful for the new ones, knowing that He has a special purpose for them.
Anyway, I am glad to be blogging, I need to improve on my writing and reach for a few of my goals, but for now, I have a date with a book, with this lady on the cover:
-The Portrait of a Lady, Henry James

Geeky Cool

I think Charlie Brown and I are linked.
I'm not sure what it is, but I have some mad love for this kid. Lately my life and those in it have become a Peanuts metaphor. I am Sally and I love Linus. Although, MY Linus looks like Pigpen when he gets home from work, but that's ok.
I am always drawn to simple stories that are rooted deep in human emotion, I think Charlie Brown takes me there. One of my many aspirations is to write children's books one day (you know, alongside with my couple of ideas for great classic modern novels, making my little Arbonne side business boom and becoming a famous stage actress). I even have an illustator for when I do (which reminds me I should make sure he's still in).
I have so many desires, so many dreams, and while I feel time has passed me by so quickly and life has beaten me up a little, I still dream. Some people look at dreamers and scoff, but my dreams, in a way, define who I am and who God has made me.
So, I happily escape reality for a little while to dream of visiting Europe one day, walking along an English countryside imagining walking with Elizabeth Bennet to the Bingley's rented mansion. Visting the place where Shakespeare was born and grew up, the place that shaped the mind of a literary genius. I dream of putting my own pen to paper and touching the hearts of people I've never met. I dream of creating my own Charlie Brown, to be the subject of someone else's blog someday. I think Charlie would be proud♥

Although I love how creative and imaginative I can be at times it frustrates me. I have SO many thoughts whirring around in my head. My brain is like one of those machines you ca stand it and wildly grabd for the cash that's floating around you. I can't seem to find an outlet, be it art, writing, photography I can never reproduce my thoughts exaclty as they exist in the realm of my mind, and that frustrates me. Aside from all things artistic, I have so many emotions that are the same. I find myself trying to figure life out, my place in it, my loves, beliefs, faith, etc....and I get kind of lost.
I feel like a confident woman on the outside, taking care of the daily things, dinner, dishes, laundry, but on the inside I think I am still that teenage girl caught between adulthood and childhood, trying to find my place in life. And, in an attempt to iron out all my issues I am going to try to blog more...no one really reads my blog, but I have decided blogging is more for me than for anyone randomly finding me in cyberspace.
Here's to blogging for yourself...oh, and cupcakes!
